21-year old Sara Chafak (center), from Helsinki, has been chosen Miss Suomi 2012 during a ceremony held in the same city on January 29th. Chafak, who stands 172 cm in height, will represent Finland at the 2012 Miss Universe pageant to take place around September/October.
The 1st princess was 23-year old Sabina Särkkä, also from Helsinki, who will represent the country during the Miss World 2012 contest in Ordos, China, in August; and the 2nd princess was Viivi Suominen, from Turku. She will compete in the 2012 Miss International pageant to be held in Chengdu, China, in November.
The 2012 contest was hosted by former Miss Finland Lola Odusoga, who placed 3rd during the 1996 Miss Universe contest in Las Vegas. That was the last time Finland made the semi-final cut at this event.
